Under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2002, school districts are required to offer a list of state-approved supplemental educational service providers for eligible children attending schools designated as needing improvement in the second year. Supplemental educational services refer to extra help provided to students in the areas of language arts/reading and mathematics.
